Thanks Kirsten, you have done a very good job of recording some of the thoughts of Grandview’s heritage home owners in this very historic part of Vancouver. Grandview’s main street Commercial Drive probably has the greatest concentration of Edwardian (the period 1901 to c 1913) Commercial buildings in the city, and the Drive’s Edwardian buildings should be restored and celebrated as a special character area of the city. The great concentration of Edwardian homes there should be ensured of preservation as well.
