We are saddened to announce that Jak, one of our founding members and the major contributor to this site on Grandview history, passed away on the afternoon of July 3rd following a long decline in his health.
We will try to continue adding material to this site, and ensure that Jak’s legacy is properly archived for future historians of Grandview. His “This Month on The Drive” column which tracked the changes on Commercial Drive for many years has been taken over by Penny Street and Steve Holmes, and will appear here. His own blog, Jak’s View, has been completed with “My Last Post” on June 20th.
