I have today uploaded a document called Inventory of Commercial Drive Buildings. It is, so far as I can make it, an accurate listing of every building that has ever been on Commercial Drive between Venables Street and 7th Avenue. Entries in boldface are buildings that exist today; those in plain type are no longer with us.
When I began writing about the history of Commercial Drive a couple of decades ago, my ambition was to create this particular list. That it has taken me so long to complete it is a testament both to my own failings and to the complexity of the task. The new research also requires a re-writing of several sections of the Grandview Database and I hope to have that completed and posted shortly.
I hope some may find it of value, and I look forward both to comments and corrections as appropriate.
